As highly skilled nurse and PhD candidate, Peta is driven to achieve global transformational change for women’s health. She Founded Women’s Health Education Network (WHEN) in 2017. Peta has over 20 years experience working around the world in nursing and health education, including antenatal, postnatal, continence and intensive care.
Peta was driven to establish WHEN by her passion to ensure women have power to decide how they use and move their bodies, and her experience in providing care across her career. Through this work Peta has sat on a variety of governance committee and national boards, volunteered extensively, founded a groundbreaking local business and continues her research and education in women’s health with the University of Tasmania.

Rhea is a medical practitioner currently working in Tasmania. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and splits her time between general practice and medical education. With a strong interest in women’s and children’s health, she completed a Diploma of Children’s Health in 2011, and went on to do further training in sexual health and reproductive medicine.

Dr Tanya Cates is a seasoned University lecturer in anatomy and clinical patient evaluation for a variety of Universities including La Trobe University and Open Universities. Tanya combines her passion for anatomy, physiology and Kinesiology with exercise prescription to achieve client success. With a suite of qualifications including Massage Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Health Promotion, Diploma in Pilates Tanya is especially proud of her Doctorate: Engagement in ‘The Good Stuff’ Physical Activity Program: Outcomes and Experiences.
In addition to her early Pilates qualification, Tanya has travelled globally to study extensively under titans of the Pilates community. Exercise should be engaging and enjoyable, and Tanya works with this philosophy to unlock a greater sense of happiness and value in every individual she works with.

Morgan is a pelvic floor physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people achieve their pelvic floor best at all stages of life. Morgan has extensive experience managing pelvic floor conditions for all genders, pregnancy and postnatal care and pelvic floor rehabilitation, including Pilates and yoga. Morgan graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from LaTrobe University in 2010 and later completed her Graduate Certificate (Pelvic Floor) in 2015, and a Master of Public Health in 2018 at the University of Melbourne. Originally from a small seaside town in Victoria, Morgan relocated to Hobart in early 2019. Morgan loves to keep active by walking or getting out on her trusty bike in rain, hail or shine, or her digging in her veggie patch.

Associate Professor Nicola Cunningham is widely recognised and respected as one of Australia’s leading clinicians, educators, and researchers in the fields of forensic medicine, emergency medicine, and patient safety. She holds dual specialist Fellowships in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Forensic Medicine, along with a Master of Forensic Medicine from Monash University and a Master of Health and Medical Law from the University of Melbourne, and has worked in Melbourne as both an Emergency Physician and a Forensic Physician for over 18 years.
Nicola holds several concurrent roles in state government and national organisations as a patient safety expert. Her work over the past two decades has allowed her to develop an extensive working knowledge of how healthcare sits within governance, regulatory, risk, quality, and legal frameworks, and she has practical and empathic understanding of the challenges of maintaining patient safety within complex and resource-stretched systems.
One of her most notable achievements is her work as co-founder and editor of The Communiqués – a not-for-profit group that produces and distributes the Clinical Communiqué, the Future Leaders Communiqué, and the Residential Aged Care Communiqué – three highly innovative, unique publications and podcasts that use medico-legal death investigations from the coroners’ courts to improve patient safety. The Communiqués have an estimated readership of more than 300,000 readers across the globe.
Nicola is a fierce advocate for advancing women in medical and leadership roles and supporting women to balance their professional and personal lives in a fulfilling and sustainable way. She is continually seeking ways to highlight and improve the inequities in healthcare and create equal opportunities and safe processes and work cultures that support people of all genders, backgrounds, and groups.

Dr Catriona Melville is a gynaecologist and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) specialist who has been providing person-centred, evidence-based health care for over 25 years. Catriona has a public hospital role as a senior staff specialist and clinical lead for reproductive health in Brisbane and is the Director of Redlands Gynaecology. She is passionate about advocacy, medical education and clinical research. She has authored a medical textbook (Sexual & Reproductive Health at a Glance, Wiley-Blackwell) and is widely published. Catriona is an Associate Editor for The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ANZJOG) and Chair of RANZCOG’s SRH Committee. Catriona sits on the Council of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (UK) as the international representative.
Catriona is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has expertise in governance, community and stakeholder engagement and risk management.
When not at work Catriona is an enthusiastic trail and (sometimes!) ultramarathon runner and enjoys spending time with her family and dalmatian.

Frances Bilbao is a visionary Clinical Psychologist and the Founder of Mums Matter Psychology, Australia’s first and only fully bulk-billed private perinatal psychology practice. Through her leadership, since 2015, over 20,000 women—many of whom face severe barriers to care—have accessed free, specialist mental health support. Frances has revolutionised the field by proving that high-quality care can be delivered affordably and sustainably within the Medicare system. Her impact is not only clinical but systemic, reshaping how Australia supports new and expectant mothers during their most vulnerable moments.
Within Mums Matter Psychology, Frances leads a team of 110 perinatal mental health clinicians. She is a registered Supervisor for Psychologists and oversees the training of Masters students, interns and Clinical Registrars.
Frances is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) where she was the National Convenor of the Perinatal and Infant Psychology Interest group and Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists. She has over 15 years of clinical experience working with clients in the perinatal phase and has authored and presented at various Perinatal Mental Health and Maternal & Child Health conferences. Frances also has extensive experience working on projects across multiple industries in her former career as a management consultant and has a passion for community development.

Miranda has built a successful career around setting people, organisations and the (eco)systems within which they operate up for success. She started her career in aviation, defence and transport with operators, consultancy, government and international agencies such as the UN and NATO. More recently she has served in several senior leadership roles in health and human services.
Miranda is known for governance, providing assurance, building capability and generating insights by integrating lessons learned, evidence and the voices of people at the centre. Her systems thinking background helps her connect dots across a complex problem space, think outside the box and paint a balanced shared perspective. She is a passionate public speaker and dabbling into podcasts and other media to inspire and empower others with insights; an insight not shared is an insight lost.
When not at work, Miranda prefers to find spaciousness by getting lost discovering a place, watching a performance or by walking, cooking or crafting.

Nicole is a dedicated leader in the “for-purpose” sector, specialising in leveraging technology to amplify the impact of not-for-profit organisations. As the For Purpose Practice Lead at SalesFix, she bridges the gap between complex digital infrastructure and the human-centric goals of the community sector. With a career spanning business development and strategic consulting, Nicole is driven by the belief that business and kindness are not mutually exclusive, but rather essential partners in creating sustainable social change.
Her expertise is grounded in a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by the For Purpose sector, an understanding born out of 15 years of working in the sector in the UK. This included working at the Women’s Resource Centre as Information Coordinator.
Beyond her consulting work, Nicole is a passionate advocate for community resilience. She has been a vocal supporter of local education and community preservation, frequently sharing insights on how adversity can bring people together to build stronger, more empathetic networks.
When she isn’t helping NFPs optimise their workflows, Nicole is an active participant in the Salesforce Trailblazer community, always seeking new ways to harness technology for the greater good.

David had a successful career spanning over thirty years in the Tasmanian public sector. During this time he held a number of Senior Executive Roles across different areas of the Department of Treasury and Finance with a strong focus on the monitoring, development, presentation and management of the State Budget; oversight of the operation and performance of Government businesses; and management and reporting of public sector finances. He also spent nine years working as a financial and economic adviser to a number of State Treasurers, Ministers and Premiers. David’s roles required a strong understanding of the Tasmanian and national economic and financial environment; the delivery of Government services to the community across all service areas; intergovernmental relations and liaison with the private and community sectors. David also spent time working within the health insurance and banking sectors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a CPA. Following his recent retirement, David can be found relaxing on his boat, out and about taking photos or travelling.

Peter Boyles is the Director of Clinical Quality, Regulation and Accreditation, and also leads the Centre for Impactful Research and Innovation (CIRI) for the Tasmanian Department of Health. He specialises in driving high‑value care, regulatory excellence, and system‑level improvement across clinical services. Peter’s work spans the design of innovative models of care, the application of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual care, and the translation of research into practical, scalable solutions. Peter was previously the Chief Pharmacist of Tasmania with his career highlights including the development of Australia’s first real-time prescription monitoring system and a best-practice clinician-led, patient-centric regulatory approach to minimising unsafe use of affect-modulating medicines such as opioids and benzodiazepines. Peter is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Tasmania.
Known for his strategic thinking, collaborative leadership and clarity in communication, Peter plays a central role in shaping organisational capability in clinical governance, quality systems, and healthcare innovation.

Marco is a highly experienced IT professional with a career spanning over 30 years in key industries such as telecommunications, logistics, and finance. His expertise in Information Technology and governance has been integral to his managerial roles across Europe and Australia. As the co-founder of WHEN, Marco has been instrumental in integrating advanced technology solutions into the health sector. His work is geared towards harnessing technology to enhance healthcare outcomes, with a particular emphasis on innovations that improve wellness and health education. In addition to his role at WHEN, Marco serves on several boards, bringing a unique blend of tech-savvy and strategic vision. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is a dedicated diver and an advocate for the conservation of marine ecosystems.
