We know that getting older doesn’t mean you stop taking care of your body and engaging in your health care.
Here at WHEN, we believe in asking women what they need. That is why we have run focus groups all around Tasmania talking to women over 65.
We know that getting older doesn’t mean you stop taking care of your body and engaging in your health care. We’ve got the research and advice to help you live well, heal better and keep moving.
Special Thanks:
The Over 65 Project could not have been possible without the generosity of our wonderful team of volunteers. We would like to especially thank Sharon, Jan and Jackie for sharing their passion for women’s health and donating their time to make The Over 65 Project possible.
WHEN would also like to thank the students from The University of Tasmania who collaborated with us on this project, by hosting focus groups for us across Tasmania. WHEN believes in asking women what they need and with the UTAS students focus group facilitation we were able to gather valuable information from women in the over 65 category. We used the insights to guide us in what resources to create for The Over 65 Project. You can view their project report here.
Movement Makes A Difference
Exercise doesn’t have to be high intensity, in a gym or expensive. Moving your body daily has huge benefits and there are many options that you can do from the comfort of your own home. The trick is to keep it simple and make it fun! Movement can be a great excuse to catch up with an old friend or even make some new ones.
Exercise doesn’t have to be a formal thing, incidental exercise from every day activities can count towards your daily movement. The bottom line is to just keep moving!
