Why your vision or eye comfort might feel different
Hormonal changes after a pregnancy loss can affect more than just your energy or cycle, they can also influence how your eyes feel and how clearly you see. These changes are usually temporary and not harmful, but they can still catch you off guard.
If something seems different, it is not your imagination! Some women describe their vision as slightly blurry or notice their eyes feel more sensitive, dry or uncomfortable than usual. There is currently no research into eye changes following pregnancy loss, but we do know that hormones can affect fluid balance, tear production and circulation, all of which influence how your eyes function and feel.

These symptoms often improve on their own. If your eyes feel dry or irritated, speak with your optometrist or GP first, they may recommend over-the-counter lubricating drops if they’re right for you. If vision changes are getting worse or start to interfere with your daily life, it’s important to have them checked to rule out anything else.
